On 3rd November, Fundación Pilares celebrated its 12th anniversary and the V Edition of its AICP Best Practices Awards. The event took place at the Casa Encendida in Madrid.
The Event was divided into two sessions, in the morning the Technical Day, and in the afternoon the Awards Ceremony.
During the Technical Conference, which we had the pleasure of attending, aspects of the transformation of the Long-Term Care Model within the framework of the AICP were discussed, with different professionals from the sector. The Technical Conference was divided into the following discussion blocks: The person at the centre, Communities and professional teams and Physical Environment, Technology and Training.
As a culmination of the Technical Conference, the AICP Certificate from Fundación Pilares, in which they have been working for more than 3 years.
The certificate is a quality reference system that facilitates and guarantees the application of the elements and criteria defined in the AICP model in care services for the elderly and/or disabled.
The certificate, in addition to being a seal that guarantees that a Centre or Service is really complying with the requirements and philosophy of the model, is also an instrument that helps Centres and Services to effectively implement the requirements of the model in services to guarantee quality care, the dignity of people and respect for their rights.
